We just launched AsiaPrecipitation Experiment (AsiaPEX) as an Asian RHP (Regional Hydroclimate Project) (initiatig phase) under GHP (GEWEX Hydroclimatology Panel) / GEWEX (Global Energy and Water Exchange), based on achievements of the MAHASRI (Monsoon Asian Hydro-Atmosphere Scientific Research and Prediction Initiative) project (2006-2016).

Main objective of AsiaPEX is understanding of Asian land precipitation over diverse hydroclimatological conditions for better prediction, disaster reduction and sustainable development.

In the later half of 2020s, we are planning a collaborative field campaign, Asian Monsoon Years (AMY)-II over the Asian monsoon and surrounding regions.

Overall focus of AsiaPEX is described in following pages.
